Peja’s family moved to Belgrade when the Yugoslav wars began. Later, this retired basketball player relocated to Thessaloniki, Greece, but his father remained in Croatia, fighting in the Army of the Republic of Serbian Krajina. Peja’s father arrived in Thessaloniki in 1995.
